Team Lom Pa Yu Muaythai goes 3-0 at Muaythai Mayhem in Edmonton!

This was the biggest Muaythai event in Edmonton in two years featuring some of the best Muaythai fighters in the world.  Team Lom Pa Yu’s Brian Kong won a devastating second round TKO against Vern Musqua. Brian came out in the first round testing his range and feeling his opponent out before landing some devastating punches and legs kicks in the corner downing his opponent for the full 10 count.

Will Quijada from Lom Pa Yu Red Deer won a decisive unanimous decision with an extremely technical Muaythai display fresh off another victory and his recent trip to Russia for the World Championships.

Sherwood Park’s own Derek Jolivette won a lob-sided unanimous victory over his opponent Kingsely Opoku from Philadelphia after dishing 5 rounds of punishment.  Derek backed his opponent up  the entire fight landing devastating punch combos, leg kicks and flying knees and elbows.

Congratulations guys. Great work tonight! And a big thanks to Frank Lees for putting this amazing event together and to all the folks who came out to support Muaythai in Edmonton. See you in class next week!
